Victims is a strong personal found footage material, which grants the spectator short insights into the life of the Austrians in a time that was stamped by a long continuous economic depression, the upswing and the invasion of the national-socialists under the leadership of Adolf Hitler and therefore in further consequence the start of the second world war.
In this private filmed material you see for example in short sequenzes a cheering crowd welcoming the Nazis in Vienna, a wedding and children playing.
After a short time an important fact pops into the mind while looking at this private material: Nearly all persons in this movie smile. They are proud to be a part of the Third Reich.
