VJ Union Members at Pixelache Helsinki
It’s time for Pixelache Helsinki again and this year the Vidiots and CJ Rosén will be representing Sweden at the festival. It’s not too late to jump on the boat or catch a flight. The program looks really interesting – see for yourselves. Hopefully the boys will give us a report on what went down.
And the winners are…
Daquar recieved first price in the Motion Graphics category of the “Kolla! Grafisk design & illustration 2009” contest and Ben Cook from the swedish VJ Crew Instructions, received awards in The Best Audio Visual category and The Best Work of The Year in The RAD Awards.
Typographic film festival

Resolume 3.0.0
Resolume is finally out of beta, version 3.0.0 was released on friday. There has been a lot of bug fixes and small improvements.
The battle of the codecs
There was an interesting discussion today regarding the Sheer video codec on the Modul8 forum where Dave from Vidvox (the creators of VDMX) and Bart from Resolume jumped in on the thread. My suspicion is that the whole thread is just a guerilla marketing trick from Resolume who are just releasing their own DXV codec with hardware acelleration.
Some new links
I’ve got some good links from VJ 2MCH this week and stumbled over some good ones myself. I think most of them also made it to the links page but it’s worth giving these a bit of extra attention.
