These are things that has happened in our network and things I’ve seen in social media the last month. That includes the MaKey controller, Video mapping by Radek Rembowski, saying bye bye to the video screens at the 2.35:1 nightclub, GIF animations, software updates, visuals by Fake Pilot, SVJU representation in the Euro Vison Song Contest, festivals and a Gener8 a/v tutorial by Andy Teasdale.

Eric Wahlforss composes and performs electronic music under the name Forss. Although he might be more famous as the co-founder and CTO of Soundcloud. Nine year after his first release, Soul Hack, he now releases an audio-visual creation.

Since we haven’t posted that frequently during the beginning of this year I thought I’d summarize stuff that has passed through my internet channels the last two months. This includes news about upcoming AV events, software updates, new hardware, cool videos, etc.
The Vidiots finally launch a new site
We thought the Vidiots didn’t care about marketing, but after six years the Vidiots finally puts their one page site featuring a single animated gif to rest in favor of a new high striving black concept site. We get to see a whole retrospect of Vidiots videos from the early days to the mappings and the installations of the later days.
Longer video of the I.R.I.S. mapping
I promised to post a longer video from the I.R.I.S. mapping as soon as it became available from the artists. To my surprise one has been compiled already.
Stockholm’s most ambitious video mapping yet
This weekend Stockholm had it’s largest most ambitious facade mapping yet. I.R.I.S. is a 15 minute show by multi disciplinary artist Jesper Wachtmeister displayed on the face of the Stockholm City Museum. I was there for the Friday night premiere and I will share some clips I captured of what I think worked out well.

Beta testers are raving about the Processing app for iOS that will be released within the next few weeks.
