Garagecube has announced a bunch of minor updates and releases: Modul8 2.8.3, a new printed manual for Modul8, an on-line Modul8 module manual, Mad Mapper 1.0.3 and MadLabs, a series of small apps for MadMapper.

Summer time at Swedish VJ Union
It’s the time of the year when Swedish VJs lay very low. We don’t have that many sun hours per year so we try to enjoy the little we have. So don’t expect too many post the next month or so. Have a great summer!
Two new tutorials
I just made two new tutorials, one that shows how to enable Syphon in Modul8 and a second one that shows how to send track info (id3 data) as an image from an iTunes to Syphon so that you can display the track info in any Syphon enabled software.

I discovered this software through the Syphon project’s Twitter. It’s a a tool for creating interactive motions of objects for live visual performances.

The new Twitch controller
Novation has just announced the Twitch controller that has been developed together with Serato. It’s a hybrid of a conventional DJ controller and controllers made for softwares like Ableton Live. It has also been inspired by the Monome and the controller hacking communities.
